WEDDING OPTIONS from XLcloset

September. The month that marks the end of summer holidays and the start of wedding season. It makes perfect sense that most people decide to get married in September, as the weather is still good and usually rain-free, meaning the wedding can be held outdoors.

Personally, I have two wedding invitations just for September, one in Athens and one on an island. So, as I try to figure out what to wear, I'll take you along with me by suggesting some pieces from the magical closet of XLcloset.

I'll start with my weakness, which is none other than dresses. Since the first wedding I'm attending is in Athens and in the evening, I've decided to wear something a bit more formal.

I'll definitely be honoring this lace elastic black dress! It's as formal as I want it to be, it has a sexy, form-fitting silhouette down to the knee, and it's ideal for the current temperatures. It's also timeless, as lace can be worn from winter to summer.

Alternatively, I could wear something a bit more colorful and in a light shade instead of black, like the long lace dress which comes in 3 wonderful colors.

Another piece I've picked out and had my eye on for a while is an amazing blue set. It's a muslin dress and blouse with fringes, with a mid-line and kimono-style sleeves. A smart purchase, as you get two for one and everything is in order!

The second wedding, as I mentioned, is on a small island. Things are more relaxed there, so I can comfortably combine palazzo pants with a blouse.

By way of example, these muslin palazzo pants are fantastic. They have a straight cut, with pleats at the waist and belt loops, and come with a gold chain belt with a tassel finish. If you choose the black ones, you can "break" them up with a light-colored blouse or even one with patterns.

If you're a fan of black, you can pair them with this sleeveless georgette top with rhinestones.

And because we can't be sure of anything, especially the weather, throw on this satin kimono jacket on top, which is also in fashion, and you're ready to steal the show.
